A Maryland based company, with affiliations to the manufacturers of the  tainted Chinese milk, may be subject to product liability laws in the United States for their liability in the role of the promulgation of the tainted milk. The Delaware-registered investment subsidiary, with offics in Maryland, would be subject to United States product liability laws if found liable for the involvement in the tainted milk scandal. The tainted milk was derived and manufactured by the Qingdao Shengyuan Milk Co. Ltd., which was found to contain traces of melamine, which sickened and killed thousands of children across China and elsewhere in the world.

Spokespersons for the individuals and families injured by the tainted milk have hired a lawyer in the United States to handle their claims against the Maryland and Delaware-based company. The suit is expected to be filed within Maryland district courts within the next few days, and will seek compensation for individuals and families affected by the tainted milk in and around China.
